Today it’s possible to broadcast just anything over the internet, Media Streaming provides you with the ability to take videos or any other media content from just anywhere and broadcast it live. The process of media streaming involves a camera for the video, an encoder to digitalize the content, a video publisher where the streams are pushed and a Content delivery Network to distribute and deliver the content.

With the advent of media streaming growing, a new term ‘web cast’ has been revealed, which means broadcasting via the web where people can transfer information in the form of live recordings or they can also transfer the already recorded media content.

Media streaming itself is supported by several media server applications. A client may opt for any media application to playback, transfer and process the material. It has also provided businesses with such an ease in aspects of information sharing via the internet.

Security remains one of the major challenges with the introduction of this new tool. But since Digital rights management – DRM apply on privately owned media, limitations are imposed on its usage by hardware manufacturers, publishers, copyright holders and individuals.

A successful broadcast requires careful planning and testing so that it could be easily viewed by audience on the internet. We have expertise and know how and can help you with encoding and integration processes so that your targeted audience gets best possible streaming media experience.

When it is time to launch your business online it is a good idea to plan well ahead of time. While you work with the web designers and developers on the presentation and the functionality bit it will be fruitful to look around and check out the latest user trends. Those who haste will always waste….an online business these days is not so easy to put up, so no need to indulge if you do not familiarize yourself with the nitty-gritty of online competition.

A small online business has to really carve out an image in a manner that is most capturing while being appealing to the new social media. Evaluating your product and service in comparison to the current demand in the market and your areas of segmentation will help a lot. This will lead to a certain uniqueness that will help churn profits in the long run.

Study the companies that are in direct competition with you and sell the same products and services in your target area. See where they are located and what the consumer trends spell for you. Study, plan and organize in a scientific manner without being whimsical and hasty.

You may check online and also look into the yellow pages for a thorough study of competition. Check their location and then study the traffic trends. Check out their ads and see what type of promotions they are in. Your ads need to reflect the true characteristics of your product and service. Highlight the important features and benefits from the user’s point of view. Visitors will like to read more about what is useful for them and not what you think about your products and services.

Besides a lush looking design, all small business websites need to have some must-have features. These must-haves will help connect to your prospects better and help you gain some trust and recognition from the market. While you work the diversified target market it is important to pay attention to how you seem when compared to competition. So, put yourself in a visitor’s spot and figure out whether you seem trustworthy enough to get some business online?

Firstly, put in your contact details on your website. It is amazing how a lot of people forget to add their contact details to their website. Add your address, phone number and email address. If you have a Skype or an IM id add that too. This will help prospects locate you better. Keep contact info readable and the contact page visible on home page.

On the “Contact Us” page also include a Google Map. This will help prospects learn more about your neighborhood and if they want to come down and meet with you they will know how to get there easily. If you are located in the prospects neighborhood, they will probably buy from you rather than going elsewhere.

Another must-have is a contact us form, where a prospect can leave information to follow up on. Most people feel a hassle calling up but will go ahead and leave some request at your contact us form. So, let your visitors express themselves when there is no one around to talk to.

When you want to seem reliable, adding a picture of yourself and your staff is always helpful. People like meeting real people on websites and this helps gain better trust. This will help kick-start a relationship with your prospects and give you a better face around faceless websites.

Lastly, including a Newsletter will help keep in touch with your visitors better. So, add a Newsletter sign up form on the home page, and keep users updated with the latest events/products and service enhancements.

HTML5 is being developed as the next version of the web language standard with ability to replace Flash as the web’s default video player. It aims to reduce the need for proprietary based plug-in- rich internet application (RIA) technologies such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Sun JavaFX.

It promises to do everything that Flash does, from delivering videos and enabling superficial user interfaces to provide a platform to develop small downloadable applications without the need to download and install browser plug-in. This means that fewer complications on end user systems and less need for website owners to invest in RIA Applications.

HTML5 has much more features than just being a successor to flash. It provides a new set of features like native video and audio playback, animated graphics, geo-location, hardware acceleration for in-browser events etc designed to make modern web applications work more like desktop applications.

The capability to keep using a browser-based app even if your internet connection drops, the capacity to store application data on your local machine, dragging and dropping of files from the desktop to the browser, and the addition of semantic markup on pages, making easier for humans to understand.

Microsoft has been improving its degree of HTML 5 support in Internet Explorer, particularly in the new preview edition of IE 9. But, it could make implementation difficult through its current loom of only partially implementing HTML 5 support in IE, which is still the mostly widely used internet browser in the world. So let’s wait and watch for the HTML 5.

Your company’s data is the most valuable asset of your company and Online Database Management system is a set of computer software that allows an organization to control, store, manage and retrieve data in a database.

It determines how data is stored and retrieved and is managed and manipulate by database administrators and other specialists who uses MS SQL or MySQL databases from within an organization’s control panel to manage and update these databases.

The power of database management is an asset for any organization. The ability to easily gather, arrange and scrutinize business data - contacts, leads, customer feedback, market information, or business stats leverage businesses. Ever-higher processing speeds are required for efficient database management.

A Virtual Private Server VPS also referred as Virtual Dedicated Server VDS is a form of dedicated web hosting offered by most web hosting providers. It is mostly used by organizations that need secure and reliable web hosting services capable of meeting their business requirements perfectly.

Virtual Private Server services began over a few years ago when dedicated hosting services started offering virtual servers, the virtual version of dedicated servers has same functionalities that a dedicated server hosting has.

Virtual Private Server offers more than sufficient performance to a large number of websites with dedicated server. It also brings in some more authorization in software configuration and security. The hosting provider may end up getting better results because their hardware is more efficiently used.

VPS provides a range of performance options at prices much more reasonable than dedicated servers. Now, small medium businesses can also afford to bring their businesses online without incurring heavy overhead costs. This means they could gain more profits from their sales.

The virtual private server cloud is the latest technology imbedded with using various VPS. Compared to cheap Shared Servers, VPS it is not cheap but considering the security that you get from it, it’s a very good deal. Using software to manage hardware capably is the smart way to build networks, and virtual servers are a great way to do it.

Today, internet websites have increasingly become a part of our lives and we rely on them for almost everything but many people are still not aware about the history of the World Wide Web. So here are some of the quick facts about it:

The World Wide Web was born in November 1990, with the launch of the first web server—and web page—hosted at the CERN research facility in Switzerland; the purpose of the web page was to describe the World Wide Web project.

By early 1993, the stage was all set for the web explosion when the first (alpha) releases its first client based application ‘NCSA Mosaic graphical browser’ which becomes available on all major desktop computing platforms by the end of that year.

After that the numbers of web pages grows but there were no ways to search the growing number of web pages that were available online as most of them were basically collections of links. And then finally, attempts were made to bring them in order to the swiftly growing chaos.

The first automated web spider or robot ‘World Wide Web Wanderer’ launched in 1993 by Mathew Gray, this spider did little more than collect URLs, and was largely seen as a nuisance by the operators of web servers. Than later that year Martjin Koster also created the first web directory ‘ALIWeb’ but just like Wanderer, it also met with limited success.

In February 1993, six Stanford graduate students began work on a research project called Architext, using word relationships to search collections of documents. By the middle of that year, this software was available for site search. More spiders had appeared on the scene by late 1993, but it wasn’t until early 1994 that searching really came into its own.

The Netscape browser, based on Mosaic, was later released in 1994, by that time; the dial-up Internet access has also become readily available and was cheaper. Combination of cheap dial-up access and the Mosaic browser was popularizing the Web and that was a time when the Web started taking off!
